Down in the Valley deep in the Southwest trees STAND TALL stretching up to the canopy above.  Walking beneath these majestic giants breathing the fresh crisp air I am reminded how important trees are for the future of our planet. These trees have endured wildfires and still they stand clinging on to the fragile ground beneath while reaching for the skies above.  A lesson in survival.

Encaustic (beeswax & damar resin) applied in heated form over plaster with inks pastels charcoal & pigments were used to create this artwork.
