WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS encaustic multi-media 78cm x 59cm

Ink was applied to watercolour paper and the edges scorched by torch. Trees were sketched in pencil and encaustic (beeswax & resin) with added pigment were applied in many layers building texture. A feather was sketched in pencil on hanji paper and fused into the encaustic wax painting.
