ARTISTS STATEMENT

A VOICE the  proposed alteration to the Australian Constitution has once again divided the opinions of a Nation.

I have chosen the Australian Magpie as a symbol of the people coming to terms with what effect this will have on the lives of our First Nation Peoples.          Will this divide or unite the Australian people? 

Pigmented inks and water were applied over the surface of a gesso prepared board. Magpies painted in gouache. Then heated encaustic medium and pigments in layers and sealing with a heat gun to complete the work.  My work is  constantly evolving.
